Mother's Necklace - Gold Filled and Sterling Silver with Personalized Flourished Children's Initials

Necklace is custom made with hand stamped anniversary date and couples initials, on a gold rimmed riveted sterling silver pendant.  Flourished children's initials are stamped on sterling silver disc charms.  Hand crafted from metal sheet, this necklace for mom is truly one of a kind! The 1 inch Sterling silver disc and 14k gold fill washer are hand cut and filed, hand stamped, riveted, oxidized and polished and floats along a sterling silver cable chain. The initial pendants (if selected) are hand 1/2" diameter, and are stamped, oxidized waxed and polished.

Necklace is solid Sterling Silver and 14k gold filled. Sterling silver will oxidize with time, but can be polished to restore its luster

• 14/20 GOLD FILL is made by heat and pressure-bonding a layer of pure karat gold to a brass core. 14/20" notation refers to the industry shorthand describing the resulting material. The first number is the karat purity of the gold used; the second number is the amount, by weight, of gold to the substrate material. "14/20" gold-filled material is made with 14-karat gold and the gold represents 1/20th (or 5%) of the total weight of the material. 

• 14/20 gold-filled, 1/20th (or 5%) of the total weight of the metal is 14-karat gold.

• Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors.

• To clean gold-filled jewelry, use a soft cloth and mild soap and water, if necessary. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

This item is made to order, so variations will occur. Stamping is done one character at a time, and all may not line up perfectly, which should be considered part of its handmade charm.
